The Legend Lives On...

I guess I'll tell you about Rajulio. It must have been around three in the morning when my aunt awoke to a strange man standing in my parent's RV. He was in the restroom when she asked him what he was doing there, and he informed her that it was his trailer she was staying in. But he was kind and told her that she was pretty and could stay. She awoke my father, who removed the man and took him outside to the canopy. My other aunt came out of her cabin and joined the menage-a-trios, while the strange man lounged in our hammock. He introduced himself as Rajulio, and insisted that the RV and hammock belonged to him. After some convincing, Rajulio realized he was not welcome and agreed to let the police handle the matter. Within fifteen minutes they arrived and took his information, which was limited to knowing only his name and mother's name and address, and deported him from the campground. Initially I questioned if the event was due to some strange effect which the full moon may have had on Rajulio's brain. With time however, I've come to assume that it was due in part to a spell of alzheimers. One thing may be for certain, and that is that the legend of Rajulio shall forever live within our family.

At the other end of the spectrum.
I won't lie to you, I've been seeing a paper journal. In a nut shell, this semester has been absolutely depressing. My head aches often because I've developed TMJ. I had a dream that alligators and zombies were in the pond behind my parent's house. I also dreamt that I was in a river full of spiny catfish and electric eels. anxiety.

I'm thirsty for the ocean. I'm thirsty for life ! Mine has been drained.

In appropriate but more uplifting news,

God blessed us with Roy Orbison.

and I've begun to yodel.

Oh boy do I hate Facebook. I logged in to delete my account, and then I noticed this friend I haven't seen since highschool. Then I found another old friend, so on. But then there's those people that I NEVER want to see again but somehow we're facefriends. I was thinking maybe I could delete those people or perhaps create a new account with a made up person. But then I thought, what good would that do. So i didn't delete the account. Now I just feel like playing n64 Banjo Kazooie and eating another bowl of cereal. Or playing the Sims 2.

Gibstuck in the Fence
Last weekend, Maeby and Gibson were reported wondering around the neighbors house. So my cousin and I went to retrive the dogs. We found them wondering around in this big yard with a white iron fence in the driveway. Maeby slipped through like butter and I put her in the car. Much to my horror, when I turned around my cousin had wedged Gibson into the fence. He was halfway through and it was obvious he couldn't slip out. It was quite upsetting because he kept crying when I tried to move him, so I called my daddy and he pushed Gibson out with some strategy. I was afraid Gibby's leg would break or something awful. Then I made Spencer climb the fence and hand him over to me, because it was his fault my babydog was stuck in the fence in the first place.

I think that Comic Sans font is lame as a dead fish. I hadn't realized it was my default font for sites without my other default font. Summer of 2008 has gone by so fast, I seriously can't believe it. It makes me feel so so very sad. I plan to hopefully make one more camping/fishing trip to the Rio Guadalupe.

Song of the day for Friday August 15, 2008:

"Prologue" by Electric Light Orchestra

"Just on the border
of your waking mind
there lies another time
where darkness and light are one
and as you tread the halls of sanity
you feel so glad to be
unable to go beyond
I have a message from another time..."

Lord Almighty, I have been drawing for twelve hours now. I'll give myself two more hours and if I'm not finished by then I'll just keep going. Objectives can get rather ridiculous when you are a perfectionist. The sharp pain in my shoulderblade means nothing ! Ain't no thing.

Today I've had Brigitte Bardot on the mind.

And furthermore, I've decided the song most appropriate for Wednesday August 7, 2008 pertains to be:

"Gut Feeling" by Devo
Dust off and bust out those vinyls, it's going to be a long night fellers.

Goddamn, Jim Morrison was so sexy in his time. Hearing that voice just makes me spontaneously combust. He would be number three on that hot list I made which I suppose puts Brando in fourth. That list is inaccurate anyway.

We should all take a moment to bask in Jim Morrison's sexiness.

Therefore the song of Wednesday, July 16 of 2008 precedes as:
"Backdoor Man" by The Doors

God, I need some privacy.

I've been at South Padre Island for a week and three days but yesterday was not a good day. I felt sadder and more pessimistic than most other days, which made me feel selfish because I had no reason to feel sad. I tried to make a sandcastle but I was too sad to continue so I walked back to the cabana to take a shower and mourn. Then I got a phone call from Ryan which resolved my sadness. I didn't even reconize his voice; he told me that things will be very different now because he got himself in a drunk driving accident. Four charges including a felony. The thing is that Ryan is not an alcoholic, he's not an idiot, and he's the greatest boyfriend I've ever known ever (my family actually loves him). However he made a very poor decision to drive after drinking liquor at the bar and now he's suffering the genuine consequences. The good thing is that he is still alive, no one was severely injured, and I know it scared him enough to make him change his ways. Months ago I discovered that my greatest fear is to lose him and this sure scared me enough too. He suffered a head injury and I'm positive that his car is totalled. I know he realizes the stupid irresponsibility of this and I know he is so ashamed of himself that he doesn't need anyone to give him trouble over it, he's got enough. So I cried and told him that no matter what stupid thing he does I will always love him but I was very upset that he did this. I told him to get something good in his belly so he would feel a little better. He told me that all he wanted was to hold me and that we will go a long way together. Ohh I love him eternally.

Don't you know that no one alive can always be an angel...

Oh my Darlin', Oh my Darlin', Kerrville Folk Fest'! The shock of my return into the 'real world' certainly takes all of my endurance. Although my mind, body, soul, and voice are revitalized San Angelo has already begun to drain me. I hate to wait to get out of here, but it's not much longer.
Working staff in the KFFKitchen for the past 14 days was the grooviest experience I've had since last years Fest'. I served dinner to about 95% of the entire staff of the event every night except two Saturdays and a Monday and one Sunday. Ninety-five percent of the staff is a lot of people, on average we served between 250 - 600 meals a night. I know this because someone works duty at the door tallying people coming in and marking their wrist bands and charging guests five dollars every night. I know that too because I worked the door one totally groovy Thursday night. We played my Mamas & Papas CD.
The kitchen is one of the very few places to hear recorded music at the Ranch and Katherine (a kitchen crew leader) has really good taste in music so we always had kick-ass tunes to jam. I heard Serge Gainsbourg in there for the first time and my heart just about melted. One morning they played Belle and Sebastian's "Push Barman to Open Old Wounds" Disc One during breakfast and I beamed until they changed it to the Postal Service, which is not near as cool as B&S in my opinion.
Every moment spent at that festival renders a mirage which infiltrates your brain and causes a chemical reaction of pure bliss. The essence of mystery, music, and magic is unlike any sensation in the outside world. I can now play and sing Townes Van Zandt's "Pancho and Lefty" on the guitar.

YARR!
MY NAME IS TAYLOR

Oh Boy, summer is certainly here. It started off pretty sweetly, first thing I did was hit up some bars with my classmates. I drank some beers there too. That was pretty badass considering I'm not legal to do that.

Then I drank more beers at the Hassells' and got a headache. Then I watched five hours of Planet of the Apes films the next day, my how strangely engrossing they were! My favorite part is probably when Charlton Heston says "Get your stinking paws off me, you damn dirty ape!", but that's so cliche (accent over e). Science fiction movies are cool when they're plausible like that. I can totally see apes prevailing after we destroy our species. Maybe dinosaurs could become again except as giant radioactive mutant lizards.

My current movie storyline idea involves a special relationship between a student and professor, rather dark humor, possibly zombies, and a badass soundtrack. I'll expatiate on that later.

I liked these parts as well:

"..Damn you all to hell!"

"Going, Going, Going, Gone."

A weekend for the blues

I saw Into the Wild last night and I must say that is the most hauntingly well-made movie I've seen in a while. It tells the story of Christopher McCandless, the young man who abandoned the routine of his average lifestyle to persue his adventurous instinct. Since the film is told by his account, it took an incredulous amount of work and research to properly illustrate his odyssey. I consider life differently now.

You're a saint, Chris McCandless.

It's about time for me to get out into the world. My roommate is starting to bother me, she told me to put my dishes in the dishwasher. Why the hell use the dishwasher when you have to wash the dishes in the sink prior to putting them in there ? Either way I hardly do the dishes, it's a shame.

Tu fait soleil, tu fait colline...

I am building a planet today, kindof like the lord above. Except I like to think of myself as a big bang.

There are two weeks left in spring 2008 semester.

I volunteered for Kerrstaff a couple of days ago and put my trade/career as 'childcare taking'. I've been really regretting that because I guess I didn't consider the fact that I'm not good with childs. I guess I'm so much like a child they take advantage of me and bully me all the time. I hate the kids in my class!! ? I wrote the staff center to hopefully correct this mistake; I confessed that I was an artist and 'not that great with children'.

I'm so lame it's almost cool.

Therefore, the song of Sunday April 27, 2008 pertains to be:

"This Bitter Earth" by Dinah Washington

This song is dedicated to you Amy Winehouse because you had incredible talent and potential circa 2004
and still have that talent today. Girl you looked good before the ship sank, it's a damn shame.
